The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Eastern Kimble County in west central Texas…
Mason County in west central Texas…
Southeastern Menard County in west central Texas…

* Until 1215 PM CDT.

* At 918 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen since yesterday morning. Additional rainfall amounts of
2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Mason, Streeter, Grit, Long Mountain, Hedwigs Hill, Hilda, Art,
Saline, London, Yates Crossing, Hext, Loyal Valley, Pontotoc,
Koockville, and Erna.

This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 469 and 477.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings…
RM 385 crossing Falls Prong, RM 385 crossing Perdenales River,
crossings along FM 1221, Behrens School crossing Comanche Creek, Old
Union crossing San Fernando Creek, Old Katemcy Mason crossing
Comanche Creek, Old Pontotoc crossing Little Willow Creek, Vater
crossing Hasse Creek, Old Union crossing and Oak Grove crossing.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
