…The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota…

Root River Near Houston affecting Houston County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Root River near Houston.

* WHEN…From this evening to late Monday night.

* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 5:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.5 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 15.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.5
feet on 09/27/2010.

Instructions

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
