…The National Weather Service in Quad Cities IA IL has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…

Iowa River near Lone Tree affecting Louisa, Johnson and
Washington Counties.

Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County.

Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Iowa River near Lone Tree.

* WHEN…From Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, Sand Road closes south of 520th Street to
the Highway 22 intersection.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.4 feet and rising.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 15.7 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will rise above flood stage tomorrow
afternoon to 17.4 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then
fall below flood stage late Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
