…The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin…

Kickapoo River at Ontario affecting Monroe and Vernon Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Kickapoo River at Ontario.

* WHEN…From this morning to this evening.

* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, Flooding occurs along the river in the
Ontario area. Water may be over Highway P near Bridge 10, and also
over Winchell Valley Road at Bridge 8.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.7 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.0 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this evening.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
