…The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers in Kansas…

Salt Creek near Lyndon affecting Osage County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Salt Creek near Lyndon.

* WHEN…Until Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 10.0 feet, Minor low land flooding begins in farm
field just west of the Highway 75 bridge. At 14.3 feet, Water
overflows the north bank of the creek and flows into fields north
of Salt Creek just east of the Highway 75 bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:31 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 11.5 feet just after midnight tonight.
It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
– Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

Instructions

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
