…The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…Illinois…

Mississippi River at Canton.

Mississippi River at Clarksville.

Mississippi River at Saverton.

Mississippi River at LaGrange.

Mississippi River at Hannibal.

Mississippi River at Winfield.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Mississippi River at Hannibal.

* WHEN…From Wednesday evening to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, The northern end of Southside Recreation #2
Park along Bear Creek begins flooding at this height. Gate wells
are shut down to prevent the sewers from backing up. Also at this
level pumps are set to standby.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
Wednesday evening to a crest of 18.2 feet early Friday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
