…The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…
Platte River At Sharps Station affecting Platte County.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Platte River at Sharps Station.
* WHEN…From Friday evening to late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Low-lying rural land along the river begins
to flood. At 29.0 feet, Backwater from the Platte River floods
Highway KK along the Little Platte River at the location 0.2 miles
east of Highway B.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 9.8 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall to 9.3 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
It will rise above flood stage late Friday evening to 28.0 feet
Saturday evening. It will then fall below flood stage early
Sunday morning.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Instructions
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
