Warning for the following rivers in Kansas…

Vermillion Creek near Wamego affecting Pottawatomie County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Vermillion Creek near Wamego.

* WHEN…From this evening to just after midnight tonight.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Minor flooding occurs along Vermillion
Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 20.1 feet this evening. It will
then fall below flood stage late this evening.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Instructions

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
