…The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas…

Canadian River at Amarillo 19N affecting Potter County.

For the Canadian River…including Amarillo 19N…Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Canadian River at Amarillo 19N.

* WHEN…Until Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 10.0 feet, Portions of Rosita Creek Flats Recreational
Area floods. Primitive campers and recreational vehicles are in
imminent danger. Dirt roads that lead to highway 287 from Rosita
Creek Flats are impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 12:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 6.5 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage early this
morning to 8.7 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage late tomorrow morning to 6.4 feet Friday evening. It will
rise to 6.5 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will then fall
again and remain below flood stage.
– Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.2
feet on 05/19/2023.
