…The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…
Turkey River at Spillville affecting Winneshiek County.
Turkey River at Garber affecting Clayton County.
…Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Major severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Iowa…
Turkey River at Elkader affecting Clayton County.
* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Turkey River at Spillville.
* WHEN…From this afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 11.0 feet, Water begins to impact lower portions of
campsites at Riverside Park Campground. Additional water begins to
wrap around portions of Riverside Park, reaching the baseball field
bleachers.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 3.1 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this afternoon to a crest of 11.4 feet this evening. It will then
fall below flood stage late tonight.
– Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.4
feet on 06/10/2020.

Instructions
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
