THIS EVENING DUE TO GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FALL
RIVER COUNTY AREA, CUSTER COUNTY PLAINS, PINE RIDGE AREA, BADLANDS
AREA, SOUTHERN CAMPBELL, AND WESTON COUNTY PLAINS…

The National Weather Service in Rapid City SD has issued a Red Flag
Warning.

* AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zones 315, 317, 322, 325, 326, and
332.

* TIMING…From 10 AM this morning to 9 PM MDT this evening.

* WINDS…Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Relative Humidity of 15 percent or less.

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds,
low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to
extreme fire behavior.
