The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Beaver County in the Panhandle of Oklahoma…

* Until 1245 AM CDT.

* At 1149 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Boyd, or 17
miles west of Beaver, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect some tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings. People and animals
outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs,
siding, windows, and vehicles.

* Locations impacted include…
Beaver, Mocane, Turpin, Floris, and Boyd.

Instructions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
