* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southwestern Cook County in northeastern Minnesota…
Southeastern St. Louis County in northeastern Minnesota…
Lake County in northeastern Minnesota…

* Until 215 AM CDT.

* At 110 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Birch Lake to 10 miles northwest of Whyte to 7
miles north of Thomas Lake Near Brimson to near Highland Lake to 9
miles east of Boulder Lake, moving east at 60 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Thomas Lake Near Brimson, Highland Lake, Whyte, and Birch Lake
around 115 AM CDT.
Southeastern Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness around 120 AM
CDT.
Dumbbell Lake, Isabella, and Finland around 125 AM CDT.
Silver Bay, Tettegouche State Park, and Forest Center around 130
AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include
Clear Lake, Beaver Bay, Illgen City, Split Rock Lighthouse State
Park, George Manitou State Park, Little Marais, Temperance River
State Park, Taconite Harbor, Sugar Loaf Cove and Tofte.

Instructions

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for northeastern
Minnesota.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a
tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and
move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure such as a
basement or small interior room.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
