The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Stanley County in central South Dakota…
South central Dewey County in north central South Dakota…

* Until 1130 PM MDT.

* At 1027 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles south of
Intersection of Highway 63 and BIA Road 8, or 20 miles south of
Eagle Butte, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Public. At 1025 PM MT, 63 mph winds were reported
at the Cherry Creek SDSU mesonet site.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Stanley and south central Dewey Counties, including
the following locations… southern Lake Oahe and Cheyenne River
Reservation.
