The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Ector County in western Texas…
East central Winkler County in western Texas…

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 359 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest
of Goldsmith, or 20 miles west of Odessa, moving southeast at 10
mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Odessa, Goldsmith, West Odessa, Notrees, and Odessa Schlemeyer
Field.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 95 and 97.

Instructions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
