* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Geary County in east central Kansas…
Southeastern Riley County in northeastern Kansas…
Northeastern Morris County in east central Kansas…
Southwestern Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas…
Northwestern Lyon County in east central Kansas…

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 719 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 5 miles south of Grandview Plaza to 8 miles
southeast of Ogden to 5 miles south of St. George, moving southeast
at 40 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Junction City, Council Grove, Alma, Eskridge, Grandview Plaza,
White City, Alta Vista, Dwight, Parkerville, Council Grove Lake,
and Volland.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 291 and 302, and
between mile markers 304 and 325.

Instructions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central,
northeastern and east central Kansas.
