Southeastern Keith County in southwestern Nebraska…
* Until 715 PM MDT.
* At 631 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Kingsley Dam,
or near Ogallala, moving southeast at 15 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR OGALLALA.
HAZARD…80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Mesonet sites reported 80 mile per hour wind gusts at
Kingsley Dam.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
* Locations impacted include…
Ogallala, Keystone, Roscoe, Kingsley Dam, and Broganville.
This includes the following highways…
Highway 61 between mile markers 74 and 97.
Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 121 and 143.
