The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Kiowa County in south central Kansas…
Stafford County in south central Kansas…
Pratt County in south central Kansas…

* Until 1115 AM CDT.

* At 1022 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Seward to near Stafford to 8 miles northwest of
Preston to 7 miles north of Pratt to near Iuka to near Haviland,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near…
Pratt, Stafford, Haviland, Iuka, Cullison, Zenith, Wellsford, and
Neola around 1030 AM CDT.
Preston around 1035 AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include
Cairo.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

building.
