Details
At 537 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 6 miles north of Dears Ears Butte to 25
miles southwest of Provo, or extending from 39 miles southeast of
Buffalo to 29 miles southwest of Edgemont, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Rapid City, southeastern Spearfish, Sturgis, Hot Springs, Lead,
Custer, Hill City, Edgemont, Rapid Valley, Ellsworth Air Force
Base, Box Elder, Dewey, Black Hawk, Summerset, Deadwood, Whitewood,
Johnson Siding, Newell, Nemo and Hermosa.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 15
and 67.
