Details

At 1038 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Waskom, or 16 miles west of Shreveport, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Shreveport, Bossier City, Greenwood, Waskom, Stonewall, Cross Lake,
Keithville, Spring Ridge, Forbing, Bethany, Jonesville and
Barksdale Air Force Base.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Locally heavy rainfall will also occur with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
