Details

At 1243 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 4 miles northeast of
Wakefield to 3 miles north of White City. Movement was east at 15
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor
objects and vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Manhattan, Junction City, Ogden, Grandview Plaza, Chapman, Wakefield,
Riley, White City, Milford, Leonardville, Alta Vista, Dwight,
Woodbine, Parkerville, Milford Lake, Keats, and Tuttle Creek Lake.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 283 and 316.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
