Details

At 925 PM CDT/825 PM MDT/, trained weather spotters reported strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Eagle Butte to 13
miles south of Ridgeview to Mission Ridge to 6 miles northwest of Van
Metre. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE…Trained weather spotters. Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph have
been reported with these thunderstorms in western Stanley
County.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Eagle Butte, Lantry, Mission Ridge, Little Bend Rec Area, Hayes,
Wendte, Parade, Chantier Creek Recreation Area, Ridgeview, Bunker,
Bush’s Landing, Bear Creek, Okobojo Point Rec Area, Cheyenne River
Reservation, and southern Lake Oahe.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT/1100 PM MDT/ for
central and north central South Dakota.
