Details
At 534 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles west of Lela to 4 miles east of
Clarendon to 17 miles west of Brice. Movement was northeast at 25
mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Clarendon, Mclean, Howardwick, Hedley, Lelia Lake, Dozier, Lela,
Alanreed, and Greenbelt Lake.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 128 and 162.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
the Panhandle of Texas.
