At 801 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Raytown, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Kansas City, Overland Park, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs,
Leawood, Raytown, Liberty, Grandview, Belton, Prairie Village,
Raymore, Grain Valley, Greenwood, Fairway, Mission Hills, Sugar
Creek, Westwood, Claycomo, and Courtney.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 3 and 25.
Interstate 35 in Missouri between mile markers 13 and 16.
Interstate 470 between mile markers 0 and 16.
Interstate 435 between mile markers 52 and 79.
Interstate 49 between mile markers 170 and 183.
