At 232 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles northwest of Iona, or 11 miles southwest of
Oacoma, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE…Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Oacoma, Kennebec, Reliance, Iona, Medicine Butte, Dude Ranch, Lyman,
Byre Lake, Lake Francis Case, and southeastern Lower Brule
Reservation.
