Details
At 1102 AM CDT /1002 AM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 5 miles south of Hazen Bay Recreation Area, or 13 miles
north of Beulah, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Pick City, Hazen Bay Recreation Area, Beulah Bay Recreation Area,
Lake Sakakawea State Park and Dakota Waters Recreation Area.
Instructions
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
