Details
At 722 AM MDT /822 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a line of
strong thunderstorms extending from 9 miles southeast of Midland to
near Parmelee, or extending from 24 miles east of Kadoka to 19 miles
southwest of White River, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
White River, Norris, Cedar Butte, Corn Creek, Black Pipe, Swift
Bear and Horse Creek.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 165
and 174.
Instructions
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
