Details

At 909 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles northwest of Melvern Lake, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Osage City, Lyndon, Quenemo, Melvern, Olivet, Melvern Lake, and
Pomona Lake.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 156 and 167.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Strong winds with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder to go inside.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
east central Kansas.
