Details

At 856 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from over Many to 9 miles southeast of
Hemphill, or extending from 25 miles southwest of Natchitoches to 46
miles southeast of Center, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Many, Florien, Provencal, Fisher, Mount Carmel, Negreet, Columbus,
Kisatchie, Fairmount, Bellwood, Yellowpine and Flora.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

If on or near Lower Toledo Bend Lake, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10
miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are
close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do
not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
