The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for…
Wichita County in west central Kansas…
Greeley County in west central Kansas…

* Until 815 PM MDT/915 PM CDT/.

* At 735 PM MDT/835 PM CDT/, a wall of dust was along a line
extending from 11 miles northeast of Leoti to 3 miles east of
Tribune to 5 miles northeast of Towner, moving south at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in
excess of 60 mph.

SOURCE…Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT…Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* This impacts highways 27, 40 and 25.

Locations impacted include…
Leoti, Tribune, Horace, Lydia, Selkirk, and Marienthal.

Instructions

Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
