Extreme Heat Warning issued July 26 at 9:13AM CDT until July 26 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Duluth MN

Details

* WHAT…Pockets of dense fog may remain and visibility will
continue to improve. Therefore the Dense Fog Advisory was allowed
to expire. Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to
102 expected.

* WHERE…In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, and South
Itasca Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett,
Douglas, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal
Lands of the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Red Cliff Band,
the Bad River Reservation, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation and
the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley, Lena Lake, East Lake and, Big Sandy
Lake areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National
Lakeshore and Madeline Island.

* WHEN…Until 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

Instructions

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
