Details

* WHAT…For the Heat Advisory, heat index values around 105
expected. For the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values up to 110 possible.

* WHERE…Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery,
Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson Counties.

* WHEN…For the Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 9 PM CDT Monday. For the
Extreme Heat Watch, from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS…Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Instructions

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
