EVENING DUE TO GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FALL RIVER
COUNTY AREA, SOUTHERN CAMPBELL, AND WESTON COUNTY PLAINS…
.Very warm air will move into the area Sunday. Afternoon temperatures
will warm to the 90s, causing relative humidities to drop to as low 9
percent. Wind speeds will pick up in the afternoon with gusts around
20 to 30 mph. Weather conditions like this will cause elevated fire
weather concerns for parts of northeast Wyoming and southwest South
Dakota.
The National Weather Service in Rapid City SD has issued a Fire
Weather Watch.
* AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zones 315, 317, and 322.
* TIMING…From Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.
* WINDS…South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Relative Humidity as low as 9 percent.
* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
