The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southeastern Bell County in central Texas…
Southwestern Falls County in central Texas…
Northern Milam County in central Texas…

* Until 1230 AM CDT.

* At 944 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Notably, western Falls County
west of US-77 between Lott and Rosebud where the expected rainfall
rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Temple, Belton, Cameron, Little River-Academy, Rosebud, Rogers,
Lott, Buckholts, Sparks, Wilson, Yarrelton, Crossroads, Silver
City, Jones Prairie, Leedale, Edgeworth, Cyclone, Terrys Chapel,
Red Ranger and Barclay.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
