The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southeastern Crawford County in southeastern Kansas…

* Until 500 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 1051 PM CDT, Local fire reported thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have
fallen in the last hour. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4
inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE…Fire reported.

IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Pittsburg, Girard, Frontenac, Cherokee, Chicopee, Lone Oak and
Beulah.
