The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
East Central El Paso County in western Texas…

* Until 830 PM MDT.

* At 702 PM MDT, A band of thunderstorms with torrential rainfall
rates continues to impact portions of El Paso east of Downtown and
south of Montana, Horizon City, the Lower Valley, and colonias east
of Horizon.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of arroyos, urban areas, highways, streets
and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and
low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
El Paso east of downtown, and south of Montana. Mission Valley,
Horizon City, Clint, San Elizario, Socorro, Sparks, Agua Dulce,
Dairyland and Lake Way Estates.

Sparks arroyo will likely experience flooding, along with flood prone
areas and low water crossings in Socorro and Clint.

Instructions

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
