The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
North Central Sutton County in west central Texas…

* Until 1015 AM CDT.

* At 712 AM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain in In and around the city of Sonora. Between 2
and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
1.5 to 3.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding
is already occurring.

FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for In and around the city of Sonora. This is
a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT…This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER
GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of low water
crossings, small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses.

Instructions

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
