…The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Kansas…

Neosho River at Iola affecting Allen County.

…Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Kansas…

Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Neosho River at Iola.

* WHEN…From this afternoon to early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Flooding occurs for about 1.5 miles over
Dry Lake Corner on 1000 Street north of Highway 54.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 12.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon to a crest of 16.2 feet this evening. It will
then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Instructions

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don’t
drown.
