…The National Weather Service in Des Moines IA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…
Cedar River at Waterloo affecting Black Hawk County.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…The Cedar River at Waterloo, or from the Waterloo-Cedar
Falls city limits to Spring Creek near La Porte City.
* WHEN…From late tonight to tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS…At 13.0 feet, Many storm sewers are closed along Black
Hawk Creek and the Cedar River. The Fletcher Ave levee gates are
closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 12:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.1 feet. Emergency
management reported flooding in the Sherwood Park area with
flood waters encroaching on the roadway. Area campgrounds
near the river are experiencing flooding as well.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0
feet just after midnight tonight.
– Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
