…The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…

Black Hawk Creek at Hudson affecting Black Hawk County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Black Hawk Creek at Hudson, or from the Black Hawk-Grundy
County line to the Cedar River in Waterloo.

* WHEN…From Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 16.0 feet, Water closes Ranchero Rd in Waterloo. Some
residential evacuations may occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.1 feet, and rising.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 16.5 feet Friday morning. It
will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
