* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Western Fannin County in north central Texas…
Grayson County in north central Texas…

* WHEN…Until midnight CDT tonight.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 923 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing in the
warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Sherman, Bonham, Denison, Van Alstyne, Howe, Pottsboro, Leonard,
Whitewright, Bells, Tom Bean, Savoy, Ector, Trenton, Knollwood,
Ravenna, Dorchester, Valley Lake, Randolph, Randell Lake and
Eisenhower State Park.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
