…The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Nebraska…

Big Blue River Near Barneston affecting Gage County.

Big Blue River At Beatrice affecting Gage County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Big Blue River at Beatrice.

* WHEN…From Thursday morning to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, At this level the West Scott baseball
fields begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 6.5 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage tomorrow morning
to 20.9 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall early
Friday afternoon. It will rise to 19.3 feet early Saturday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
afternoon.
– Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.7
feet on 05/07/1959.

Instructions

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
