* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Northeastern Mitchell County in north central Iowa…
Northern Howard County in northeastern Iowa…
West Central Winneshiek County in northeastern Iowa…
Southwestern Fillmore County in southeastern Minnesota…
Southern Mower County in southeastern Minnesota…

* WHEN…Until 345 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. It will take
several hours for all the water from these storms to work through
local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 832 PM CDT, Flooding is already occurring with water over
numerous roadways. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Cresco, Grand Meadow, Le Roy, Adams, Lyle, Lime Springs, Cherry
Grove, Bristol, York, Ostrander, Chester, McIntire, Taopi, County
V 10 And 40th Street, Hayden Prairie, Lake Louise State Park,
County Roads 4 And 3 and Etna.
– This includes Interstate 90 in Minnesota near mile marker 195.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
