Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…

English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties.

* WHAT…Minor Flooding is Forecast.

* WHERE…English River at Kalona.

* WHEN…From this evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Agricultural land along the river begins
to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.5
feet tonight.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
