Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…
Iowa River near Lone Tree affecting Louisa, Johnson and
Washington Counties.
Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County.
Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Iowa River at Oakville.
* WHEN…From late Friday night to late Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 11.0 feet, Flood waters begin to impact agricultural
land.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.5 feet and rising.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Saturday morning to a crest of 11.2 feet early Saturday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
morning.
– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instructions
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
