…The National Weather Service in Tulsa OK has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Oklahoma…

Verdigris River near Lenapah affecting Nowata County.

Spring River near Quapaw affecting Ottawa County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Spring River near Quapaw.

* WHEN…From Friday morning to late Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 22.0 feet, park and recreational areas experience
minor flooding.
At 24.0 feet, park and recreational areas downstream from the gage
site experience moderate flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 8.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 23.7 feet early Saturday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
morning. This forecast is based on rain that has recently
fallen plus the next 24 hours of forecast rainfall. Interests
along the river should closely monitor updates to this
warning.
