…The National Weather Service in Des Moines IA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…
Fourmile Creek at Des Moines Easton Blvd affecting Polk County.
* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…The Fourmile Creek at Des Moines Easton Blvd, or from
below Interstate 80 to the Des Moines River.
* WHEN…From late tonight to early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Widespread flooding occurs along the
reaches of the creek primarily upstream from Easton Blvd near the
Hubbell overpass. Water affects lowland areas of the community
center near Easton Blvd.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 5.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 14.1 feet late
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
morning.
– Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
