…The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…

North River near Norwalk Hwy R57 affecting Warren and Polk
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…North River near Norwalk Hwy R57, or from the
Madison-Warren County line to the Des Moines River.

* WHEN…From late tonight to Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 22.0 feet, Water is over Iowa 28 immediately south of
Norwalk and threatens several rural gravel roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.9 feet, and falling.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage just
after midnight tonight to a crest of 22.2 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday
morning.
– Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
