Warning for the following rivers in Texas…

Independence Creek at Independence Creek near Sheffield, Texas
affecting Terrell County.

For the Pecos River…including Independence Creek near Sheffield,
Texas…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Independence Creek at Independence Creek near Sheffield,
Texas.

* WHEN…Until Tuesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:10 PM CDT Monday the stage was 10.6 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this afternoon to a crest of 11.4 feet this evening. It will then
fall below flood stage this evening.
– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.9
feet on 10/25/2023.
