…The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX has issued
a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas…

Sabinal At Sabinal affecting Uvalde County.

Frio River At Concan affecting Uvalde County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Sabinal at Sabinal.

* WHEN…From this evening to late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 16.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding inundates lowest
secondary roads and bridges in the flood plain from the headwaters
to the Frio River confluence.
At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding damages crops and floods
pastureland cutting off and potentially drowning livestock in low
areas of the flood plain. Secondary roads and low bridges flood
severely as the flood wave passes downstream.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.3 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will oscillate around flood stage with a
maximum value of 17.4 feet late tonight.
– Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
